Symposium Neuroradiologicum 2022

Caros Colegas,

O XXII Symposium Neuroradiologicum terá lugar em Nova Iorque em Maio de 2022 de 13 a 16 e os seus organizadores convidam todos os Neuroradiologistas a participar com os seus trabalhos. Se têm investigações perto do fim, é uma excelente oportunidade para as mostrarem à comunidade NR.

O Symposium Neuroradiologicum realiza-se de 4 em 4 anos, existe desde 1939 e é o maior fórum mundial da Especialidade. Algumas das suas reuniões constituíram marcos históricos na NR.

European Society of Neuroradiology - Diagnostic and Interventional

ANNOUNCEMENT OF FELLOWSHIP

The ESNR Neuroradiology Diagnostic Committee is delighted to announce that, with support of the ESNR Executive Committee, we can offer a 12 months Research Fellowship in Diagnostic Neuroradiology.

Purpose of this fellowship is to stimulate cross-border research exchange in Neuroradiology within Europe.
The fellowship amounts to €25.000, intended to cover costs for living during the fellowship. Host institutions are expected to cover all potential other costs related to carrying out the research project.
Eligible are ESNR junior or full members up to the age of 40 years, who have been residing in Europe at the time of application for the past 24 months (with respect to membership see also ESNR regulations 7.12.2014).
Candidates will be selected based on their potential for scientific development, including the capacity to carry out the proposed research project, the quality of the research project, and the appropriateness of the host institution for the proposed project.

A minimum of 1 (submitted) manuscript is expected to result from the Fellowship. Applications can be submitted until April 1st 2020 and should include:
Curriculum vitae of the applicant, including information on previous publications and awards.
Letter of invitation by the host institution , including mention of the intended supervisor for the project.
A detailed research proposal, including background, methods and work plan and expected deliverables at the end of the Fellowship. Maximum of 5 A4 pages, including references, at minimum font size 11.
Selection will be performed by the ESNR Neuroradiology Diagnostic Committee and announced in June 2020.
When awarded, the Fellowship is to commence within 6 months of announcement. The official announcement of the winner will be in Lisbon during the ESNR Annual Meeting 2020. Applications shall be sent to: info@esnr.org

European Board of Neuroradiology EBNR GmbH

The European Board of Neuroradiology EBNR GmbH announces the opening of the application to obtain the European Diploma in Interventional Neuroradiology (EDiINR) (senior).

Criteria to apply for the European Diploma in Interventional Neuroradiology (EDiINR) (senior)

1. Work experience: He/she is presently working as a full-time neuroradiologist / interventional radiologist, neurosurgeon, or neurologist, with at least 50% of his/her time dedicated to interventional neuroradiology and has been working as such for at least 10 years. Alternatively, he/she is presently working as a full time neurointerventionist in a dedicated high-flow center and has been working as such for at least five years.

Please note that only the time period after completion of the training/fellowship is considered as work experience. In addition, he/she should be involved in a full range of neurointerventional activity for this requirement to be fulfilled.

The work experience as stated above must be certified by the Chairman of the department or hospital administration in which the applicant is accredited. (An additional letter indicating the average workload, with case distribution, is preferred.)

2. Scientific activity: He/she has published at least ten publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals of which at least five publications should be related to neurointervention (as proven by the CV).

3. Teaching activity: One of the requirements listed below must be fulfilled:

i- He/she has at least five years’ experience working in an academic position or in a leadership position as a professor, associate professor, docent, or equivalent (as proven by the CV);

OR

ii- He/she has at least five years’ experience working in a teaching environment (i.e., has served/is serving as a trainer/mentor in fellowship programs at his/her hospital) (as proven by the CV);

OR

iii- He/she is/has been an organizer of at least two national/international teaching courses (as proven by the CV);

OR

iiii- He/she has served as a faculty member in at least five established neurointerventional meetings/courses (as proven by the CV).

4. ESNR Membership: He/she is a full or associate member of the European Society of Neuroradiology - diagnostic and interventional (ESNR).

DR. ANTÓNIO VIRGÍLIO SALGADO- (1939-2019)

 

“Foi com imensa tristeza que tive conhecimento da notícia do falecimento do Dr. António Virgílio Salgado.

     Durante muitos anos, mais de quarenta, trabalhámos juntos.

     Sempre contei com ele, pois foi um colega amigo, leal, trabalhador, pontual e ponderado nas suas opiniões. O seu feitio sempre permitiu, durante todos estes anos, uma excelente convivência.

     Com outros colegas criámos e consolidámos o Serviço de Neurorradiologia do Hospital de S. João. Foi uma longa e sinuosa estrada a percorrer, cheia de dificuldades, de avanços e recuos, quer a nível local, quer nacional, pois a especialidade de Neurorradiologia não era ainda reconhecida.

      Passámos imenso tempo a discutir e a tomar decisões e, se algumas vezes, tudo isto foi pacífico, outras houve em que discordámos, mas nem por isso a nossa amizade foi prejudicada. Sempre soubemos colocar, em primeiro lugar, o verdadeiro interesse do Serviço e a nossa salutar convivência.

       Com o seu desaparecimento a Neurorradiologia portuguesa ficou mais pobre.”
